Digital Wellness Association–Ewha Medical Academy 'Leaders Forum' Successfully Concluded
[Newsworks = Reporter Byung-Do Moon] The Korea Digital Wellness Association announced that it held the "2026 Digital Wellness Leaders Forum" jointly with the Ewha Medical Academy at Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital on the 16th.
The forum brought together approximately 40 experts from major corporations, startups, university research institutions, and academia—including the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), Chong Kun Dang, LG Household & Health Care, and Hyundai Mobis—for in-depth discussions on AI and digital medical products.
In the first presentation, Byung-Kwan Kim, an official from the MFDS Digital Medical Products Task Force, addressed the topic "Current Status and Challenges of Digital Medical and Health Support Devices," introducing the current regulatory landscape and calling for active participation from associations and companies to support the enactment and implementation of the Digital Medical Products Act.
Tai-Myoung Chung, CEO of Hippo T&C, presented on "The Future of Digital Therapeutics and Digital Wellness," emphasizing four key conditions for success: building an integrated ecosystem, securing consumer trust, driving regulatory innovation, and expanding into global markets.
Chairperson Hee-Yoon Choi commented, "We are grateful to be co-hosting the Leaders Forum with the Ewha Medical Academy," adding, "We are currently advancing new convergence initiatives including the Digital Wellness Awards, the RISE program, and the Digital Wellness Arts & Culture Forum, and we hope for broad interest and participation."
Seung-Ho Han, Director of the Ewha Medical Academy, stated, "In the age of AI, data is critical for advancing digital medical products," and affirmed plans to continue collaboration through initiatives such as a future AI-specialized joint training center.
